Question bout dogs behaviors

I have this one dog house well barrel that none of my 6 dogs will sleep in. They will lay in the pouring ran or snow before they step foot in it ? I don't get it .

I am . I mean it's just that one house and I got it from my buddy's so idk why?

What was in the barrel before it was made into a dog house?
Maybe it contained some chemical that they can smell and don't like.

i shocked one for barking one time and he thought his dog house done it had to change boxes lol
