Final Cast Play-By-Play

The Final Cast has just left the grounds at E-town. Paul Frederick will be reporting from the woods and I'll bring it to you here.

Each one of these handlers has been here before. Ironically, they have all placed second in the World Hunt in the past. Which one will finally get it done tonight? Stay tuned.

After two tough nights, conditions are absolutely ideal tonight. Should be good.

Big Cedar tree. No coon seen. Recast the dogs.


Showtime! The cast has reached their location and about ready to turn loose.

* Annie Struck 100, John 75, Ruby 50.

* Annie Treed 125! Ruby treed 75. John no where close to them. Cast is waiting on the five. Standing 50 yards from the tree.

John came in and backed them for 50. Cast is moving in to score the tree.

Big cedar tree. No coon seen. Tree is circled. Dogs are recast.

John struck for 100. He is headed back where they just came from. Annie struck for 75.

Ruby struck for 50 but in the opposite direction.

8 is running.

Ruby breaks the 8.

John and Annie are running in a big bean field.

Ruby treed 125.

Annie treed split 125.

Cast is scoring Ruby. Assistant judge and handler went to Annie to handle her. John now declared tree with Annie for 75.


All dogs now handled. Cast reunited at Ruby's tree and all are shining like it's their own, says Paul.

No coon seen. Circle up Ruby both ways. Cast is headed to Annie and John.

Annie and John are on a big messy hedge apple. Circle Annie and John. Cast is walking across a field to recast.

Ruby struck 100. Annie 75.

Moon big and bright now. 45 minutes remaining.

John struck for 50, just seconds before Ruby treed for 125.

Annie treed 75.

John treed for 50. Cast is headed to the dogs.

35 minutes remaining.

Another circle tree. Wow. Tough night. 27 minutes remaining.

Annie treed 125. 2:46 gone on her tree. 22 minutes of hunt time remaining.

Annie's tree is dead. Cast is moving in.

Uh oh.... Possum. But the cast continues to look for a coon.

No coon found. Annie is scratched. Gotta be a heartbreaker for Alvis.

8 minutes left.

They haven't heard from John in a little while but Ruby is trailing still. 5:17 remaining.

John now heard opening. big hill between him and Ruby.

2:25 left.

1:15 left.


:45 left.....John treed!

Hunt time has expired, Ruby is trailing. Suspense?
