Increasing membership

With membership at the club down looking to see what other clubs have tried to try and pick it up

Got ours up some by asking every coon hunter I knew to be apart of our club.

We have a lot of member 30/40 but not so many active so I guess the questuon would be how to get more active members

I would say 30/40 is good these days. Ours went from 3 or 4 to 11 or 12.

But only having 3/4 show up is like only having 3/4

A sectional helped us a lot.

We give away $10 at every meeting to paid members by having the youngest person there to draw a name...

I like that idea we hav a hunt every month with a point system and the winner that night gets their $5 dollar entry fee back but I like that idea a little better it brings even the guy with the young dog a chance to win money as well

We have a hunt every month also. $10 entry. Winners split money. Then we have a point system. Hunting this yr for $120 dollars back. That's in top of other winnings. It usually starts off great. Till about july. Gets hot. Vacations and summer stuff happens. Then in about Oct it picks back up. Coon hunters come and go. You'll have a bunch for a few yrs. Then a few will quit. A new batch will start and over and over.

Try dinners every now & then,durin' the kill season we have a big coon,small coon contest,leave 'em in the carcass have a deadline when everyone get's back too clubhouse weigh coons draw numbers for biggest & smallest, winner get's all big or little. We just started this year with swims & so far it's helpin' also.
