Pregnant Hound

Anyone ever have a hound that they bred and the dogs tits got big but the dog didn't show a whole lot? I bred my female for the first time to honey creek spider. She is due Saturday. Her tits are a lot bigger and she has gained a little weight around the rib cage area. But other than that she isn't showing a whole lot. I figured she would be blown up like a balloon by now. I really don't know if she if pregnant or not. Anyone else had something like this happen but still have a few pups? Could it just be a small liter or do some dogs just not show much.

I had a female that gained 19 pounds had heavy milk flowmout of 11 tits and not a pup in her at all!!! False pregnancy!!! Not guarantee but she could still have justly,a couple pups in her does she have any milk at all?? She should be having some milk coming out of here tits if she is acrually due sat!!!! Recheck the date and make sure you counted rite aswell

Havent seen any milk yet but haven't looked for any either. Here is a pic. Thi will be the first time I ever raised a liter so I just don't know

She was bred on July 6th.

My female is having a false pregnancy , just had her checked by the vet Friday because she shouldn't have been bred . Her tits look exactly like the picture of your dog.

Seeing the same thing on my Wild Card female...I was all excited to get 1 pup, as I made the cross for myself, but looks like I won't even get one this go round.

She is due the 11th...looks just like your female.

Sucks. I'm still clinging to hope. My buddy's dog didn't get big either and she had 2 pups. Hoping she just has a small liter.

I just had a small litter myself. And you would of thought she had 40 pups in her as big as she got.

Had a gyp not have milk till the day before and she had 11 pups and has plenty of milk. Also have a female not gain any weight and just drop a little bag but had a couple pups. Could be false though.

had the same thing happen this summer. And like a idiot I already had pups booked and then found out she was having a false preg.

okay a week later and my hound is huge all of a sudden, She must have been carrying them up near the ribs. I can feel 2 for sure, but based on her size, there has to be at least 6.

my female did the same thing, she had 9. I had an xr to confirm a week before due date.
