I remember that one. Also Amos and Andy,Tim Tyler's Luck,Capt Midnight, Capt. Marvel, The Green Lantern, Inner Sanctum, Screeching Door. I could probably think of others but I might give my age away. lol
Yeah ,They were advertising for the new Ford V-8 ,, I still remember the first TV show I ever saw .

I do to. it was The Cisco Kid. lol
I had heard of Lum and Abner forever, first saw them on TCM in Bashful Bachelor and was hooked. Looking for more movies on eBay I found the radio shows. Have them playing pretty much all the time, a must if I am to sleep. Seems like on eBay some of the MP3 on CD or DVD lists around 1600 to 1700 shows. The sound might not be great or complete but they are fun to hear. On Archives there was some listed as Pine Ridge Project , last time I looked 3 was still there. Those are the best quality ones around as volume stays the same and don't have the popping and other noise heard in some of the others.

Of course I never remember listening live to Lum and Abner but when I was a kid and teenager my buddy had a ton of them on cassette. We'd listen to them things for hours. One of the funniest shows of all times in my opinion. I guess that, and trucking shows in the middle of the night, started my love for radio. Still a very powerful medium.
