Giving dogs shots at home...
What's the protocol as to getting the shots recorded with the county,state ,or who ever to make them good... ?

I believe rabies shot is to be given by certified vet in order to be any good. As for seven way shot, kennel cough ..ext I believe you can give them yourself because the rabies shot is the only shot that needs to be documented. Other wise by Iowa code your dog can be shot with out recourse. Iowa code dictates dog must: have collar/with rabies tag and rabies certificate. In my case had all that when Dixie got shot still didn't matter.
