Leon,,From my research both these lines are pretty much AKC show Lines...Ukc now wants a more refined hound with good feet,,these lines are long eared Big Boned and not real tight footed,,They could not win in a major UKC event on the Bench. Now one old line called Gosset bred hounds were houndy true hunting stock..Umphers Ragin Blk Hoss goes back to the Gosset bred hounds and Gene Hicks line before the Albert goes back to Gossett bred dogs. I beleive gene had a lot of success when he bred Big Time Albert to his original line.

Duncan's old blood is probably the houndiest and most AKC looking hunting stock ... and they aren't overly dewlapped or seem to have bad hips.

It's hard to get the houndy look without those bad eyes and hips and feet ... Duncan has a website and is a real nice guy to chat with.
