Light fuses

I have a 12 volt light that I've had for a little oer a year and use it regularly but the last few months it blows the fuse frequently and it's usually when I'm in the woods, has anybody else had this issue with there lights and would a little bigger fuse than what came with it when I bought it work?

use aluminum foil...

If it blows fuses then find out why. Are you using the right kind of fuse? Something is causing it, intermittent short, bad battery or wrong fuse. Do not use foil and do not use a bigger fuse.

Yea I took the fuse with me when I went to get more. I've used it quite a bit but still. I blew maybe the 4th fuse since last may when I got it, not sure if its normal or not but 3 have been since fur season had started in late October of last year

Are you using a 5100 head? If so then you are probably flipping the head to high without having the switch turned all the way up. That will blow it. A lot of people do it. Most of them use a thermistor that will just open and shut the light off. You turn it off and on low it will come back on. Some of the older ones used a fuse. It just blows.
