Just all 'round , meat gettin' hounds.
no title is important to me.When I go to breed I want to hunt with pups by potential sire out of several females if available,if not I would want to hunt the potential sire. You either got a coon dog or you don't.
I do not breed titles.I breed bear or coon dogs from proven hunting stock.I don't want to hunt dogs on buckets I want to hunt bad woods with a thin population typical of my woods.

Those are very good reasons breeding to non titled dogs do you ever have problems getting rid of them
every night coondog
or every day track and tree dog either one fills my plate
if the dog can actually tree a coon by itself night in and night out

If I had to chose I'd say htx. However no title makes a hound. I prefer raising & starting dogs myself from a good foundation line. I agree with Mr. Glynn, I enjoy putting my hounds to the test in the worst conditions possible when ever I can. To me the rewards of doing the " impossible " are better than any title. The people that aren't afraid to show their hounds any night of the week, in any weather, or terrain etc own the hounds that probably should be used as breeding stock, title or no title.
Title
Must be GrNt. But sure like seeing the HTX title. Those two put together says everything I need too know.

GrNt AN HTX ARE AN THE REST IS A JUST BOUNCE TO ME
The one I earn.
other want the title of coondog
titles
the more the merrier but not necessary.
I feel it all depends on what u plan on doing with ur dogs.
hide hunting, breeding for yourself, breeding for the public, simply training young dogs, competing etc.
voted other. i prefer a pkc registered dog, preferably superstakes. since i like the comp hunts this is what i like
I like the HTX and Grand, but before I breed to any dog Im gonna hunt with the dogs offspring. What a dog reproduces is more than any title, because not all titled dogs reproduce. I feel that HTX will be the title people will look for in years to come. This show that a dog can grub up a track alone, and produce a coon alone. If done right and honestly, this combined with Nt Ch or Grand will be the way to go.

COONDAWG!!! The only title they need. Anybody can make a me-too dog a nite champ. Even seen it with Grands that couldn't hardly do it by theirself.
HTX....it's nice to see a dog do it by theirself, BUT, what are they like in company...can they take heat? Are they too rough to put in the hunts and this is their way out to put some kind of title on the dog? Track speed...how does their speed measure up with other dogs? All questions that can't be answered with the HTX title.

All very good answers i always try to hunt with offspring first
I agree about hunting with the off spring that is a great point alot of hunters forget. I know i am guilty of buying a pup just because of the sire and dame with no regard to what they produce.
HTX for me I been hunting with a ton of Grnitech and nitch that wouldn't go hunting unless they had something to take him
