Line breeding

How many of you walker guys line breed? I hunt black and tans and it seems like everyone line breeds and I was gunna try somethin different. If you line breed tell me about your success and if you breed coondogs to coondogs tell me about your success.

Even if you are line breeding, ya should still be breeding coon hound to coon hound.

First thing is decide what traits tickle you the most, and what traits you can't live with. Make that your goal. Then choose breeding stock who produces the most traits that you want. If a dog has one trait that you can't live with, then do not breed that dog for any reason. Remember chose your breeding stock for its traits not its pedigree or how much its ancestors won.

If you can follow those rules, you should be fine.
