father/daughter cross?

Has anyone made a father daughter or mother son cross if so how did it turn out? I'm not asking for people that haven't done this to reply I already know that the good and bad will be intensified. So if you have made a cross like this tell me about it. I want to know if the hunt styles were the same what percentage made it ect.

It sounds wierd .. but in researching Echo's pedigree .. I saw where he got a daughter of Tonto and wanted to know what her mother was out of . Well ... her mother was out of Tonto also but it was Tonto bred to his mother ... try figuring that one out , lol.

Ken Duncan bred that kinda tight to his stuff and the other Smithurst dogs he had .... we bred Echo back to my Tonto daughter and this cross is high end horse flesh .

My dad had a pair of Airetail/hounds I gave him ... he let them breed and after losing the male , he kept a male pup. That male pup bred his mother ... she ran loose until she got bred by her dad ... and those pups grew up into healthy dogs .

I bred my old Raider to his mother once ... small litter and only one gyp .. she went to some locals and made a top notch dog , flat converted the kid's dad we gave her to from Walkers.

I've bred some jagdterriers like that too ... in all that , it's just more dogs .. you just see more of what you got .. nothing new that wasn't in there and nothing deformed like in lab mice that are inbred bro/sis for 25 times in a row ( for real).

One of the best reproducing studs in the walker breed right now is from a cross like this.
Medleys Homer or Hubbs Homer was from a son and mother cross They bred Skuna River Fred or Bark I think to Stylish Queen his mother to get Homer and from Homer has come Bone Collector, Huff Hollow Homer and others. Seems to have w

My first hound was a mother son cross once. She was hard hunting, tight on track, and had a helluva mouth!! She was independent and didnt give hoot about anybody else but me and had brains like you would not believe. But she had some really bad qualities such as she was silent on tree and was about as mean as any dog about sharing food, a tree or a dead mice. If you asked me, I probably would not breed or own another dog that closely bred.

inbred

I've made this type of cross before. Bred my grand nite hurricane hannah gyp to her sire yukon mike one more (old line eddie fender breeding...grnite echo sugar cookie-1st B&T to win over $10k in pkc) kept female hannah two was a good reproducer. Sometimes the pups from this type mating are not world beaters but they carry the genetics that will pass on in every litter. Offsprings from inbred matings are more consistent. U will definitely see the same traits of the sire and dam and other dogs in their pedigree...bark simular, hunt the same, tree simular, track simular, trashy, etc...they have to do whatever is good & bad simular as parents because the dna doubles up on simular traits that came from the parents.(You are know more than what your parents put in you.) With inbred/linebred dogs, this is when u see people talking abt double alphabet dna markers like AA, CC, EE. Linebred & inbred dogs become genetically fixed which means everytime they breed the gaurantee to pass that A, C&E everytime the key is that the original inbred cross has to be dogs that are coondogs with characteristics you like & bad traits you can tolerate! The best pups come from that inbred dog when you outcross (hybrid vogr) but you increase the chance of not loosing most of the characteristics of the inbred stock of dogs.

Most world champion type dogs come from outcrosses only problem is they are not great reproducers cause their dna makeup is a scrambled combination causing them to not breed true (consistently). Example - AA (inbred dog) outcrossed to a dog with BC in the same dna spot can produce pups with the following combinations - AB or AC but at least you are gauranteed to get the A from your inbred dog. Having dogs that are genetically fixed like AA is good & bad cause they could be genetically fixed good or bad but you want to until you put them in the woods & require culling if necessary!!!!
