going backwards
i have a 2 1/2 year old bluetick male had him treeing and running track at the end of the season. then i started hunting with a guy and his dogs pretty hard and he was looking good. now that i started hunting him by him self he seems to be going backwards not finishing tracks not treeing hard and treed a possum last night . did he turn into a me to dog? any thoughts thanks
keep hunting him alone....I don't use "Pup Trainer" at all. Not everyone agrees but it has worked with me and I start dogs alone and hunt them alone until they get consistent then I will hunt 2 dogs together. Best advice I have is keep hunting the dog, be patient, make sure where you are hunting has plenty of coon and let natural instinct take over.

Had the same thing happened to mine about the same age. Gave him a month at home on the chain, it seemed to help.

thanks guys
most any young dog hunted with another dog to get them going are still at the beginning stage of tracking when singled out to do it alone... they no longer have the other dog to pick up the loses.
