Just to clear up some things. I been getting alot of text. Rebel was still at my house and was gonna be taken to breeders showcase next week for Patrick to pick up. He hasn't been Hunted much lately and was outta shape, but seemed healthy. It was pretty warm today and my daughter checked on all the animals at noon and again at 3. She gave em fresh water at 3. When I came home at 6:30 he was dead. I have no idea what caused it. I would never say he was the best or great, but I liked him and he had some wicked tools. He hunted very hard and was a wood monster with the best of em. He will be missed. Im sorry that Patrick didn't get to enjoy him like I did.

SO SORRY!

So Sad... You are all in our Prayers. THe heat can do "funny" stuff... Even if we keep them well hydrated and with shade sometimes a critter(or human) can't deal with it. Our BnT can barely walk outside to pee.... even if he has just had TONS of water... he would never have lasted a day as a coonhound.... you guys were fortunate to have had Rebel for the Too Short time you did.....

I don't know if I am jinxed or what. I have had as nice of young dogs last few years and lost them. Now I get fired up again bout getting Rebel now he's gone. With my luck keeping dogs around , think I will switch to walkers!! LOL I'll try again for long. I know Sonny really liked him a lot.
