National Redbone Days 2013

Oh my goodness, what a great hunt. There sure were a lot of people and dogs there. They hunted 300 dogs over all 3 nights! I can't remember ever seeing that many 2 night cast winners vying for the overall title. It took 3 cast wins to even get opposite sex champion. I think it took 400+ to even get in the top 10 on Thursday night. Just look at all of the Redbones in the pictures on Fri and Sat nights. My cast on Thursday night treed 18 coons in 11 trees. I have never been on a cast like that. I think that there were 4 or 5 Gr Nt Ch casts each night. I think that they had 10 or 11 Nt Ch casts on Fri and Sat nights. If you weren't there you sure missed a great time. The future of the competition Redbones sure is looking bright.

It sure was a fun weekend. Talked to a bunch of folks and it was great seeing each one. I sure missed not seeing our good friend and redbone legend "T-Top Tom" and Dave. I also missed Roger Hall and not being able to visit with him too. I enjoyed hunting with the cast I was on each night, we were in several coon each night and that makes it exciting. Congrats to all the winners.

REDBONE DAYS

MY favorite hunt of the year, always enjoy the all red hunt on Thursday night, although the cast I was on never saw a coon ,great
weekend, saw lots of old friends and met some new ones, and after I got home and started reading on the computer realized that I missed a lot of folks that I wanted to meet and visit with. time just went to fast. hopefully I'll catch up with you all at the next hunt.
