Christians; Wake Up!!!

Wake up Christian nation!....the United States is rapidly becoming the Modern Babylon!.....the parking lots at pubs & bars are full while most church parking lots sit better than half empty.....God is rapidly being taken out of our schools and government buildings....our so called president is a vocal supporter of gay rights & same sex marriage as are many in government.....our supreme court has granted the same rights to same sex couples as those in traditional marriages of a man and a woman....BS!....the supreme court of just a few individuals should not be making this or any other decision and needs abolished!......this country is nothing more than a modern day Babylon....no morals.....all the while Christians sit back , say and do nothing....just let it continue to get worse!....sorry if this post offends anyone, but it's just my view on our rapidly decaying country!

It isn't just a few individuals.... The MAJORITY of Americans support same sex couples getting the same benefits as other married couples.

Well tell me HOW the minority OVERRULED THE MAJORITY??? WAS IT BY "EXECTUTIVE ORDER???

I am a Christian and I against gay marriage because it is a sin. Heterosexual Sex before marriage or outside of marriage is a sin also. Lets show the love of Christ to all sinners so that they may come to know Him and repent for any sin. Lets be careful as Christians to not be Pharisees.

I agree, We're all SINNERS, to some extent. But as long as we can show people by our actions and LOVE of THE LORD, We'll have a better place for our kids and grandkids to grow up and LIVE THE AMERICAN DREAM!!!

I believe there has to be COMMON GROUND where people can follow GOD'S TEACHINGS but also have the ability to live a good life. Being POOR is not a sin, but it's awful unhandy!!!

I really don't want or I'm going to get into a scripture fight with you. Let me ask you one thing, How much "FOOD, OR GASOLINE, HEAT, INSURANCE, HOSPITAL BILLS" does being POOR pay for?? THAT'S WHY I SAID IT WASN'T A SIN, JIST UNHAPPY!! It takes a bunch of money to survive in this day and age. We give and it's more than the 10% thru THE TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH! We also have a FOOD BANK and Clothes give aways on a Regular basis. Not looking for praise just stating facts. And we have people who try to take advantage of our giving. Todays environment of NO JOBS, is disheartening to people who have always paid their way. And I HOPE AND PRAY THAT AMERICA WILL WAKE UP AND RIGHT THIS SAD,SAD, SAD STATE WE'RE HAVING TO ENDURE!!!!

The poor Jesus is talking about are the Poor in Spirit, those who understand the need for a Savior. Our money or lack of money does not play into it, unless we love it, and if that is the case we have planted a seed. That seed becomes the root of all kinds of evil.

We ought to be praying for our leaders and our government, and also our fellow man here in our country and worldwide...

1 Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, (2) for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, (4) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.


We do not live in a Theocracy, we live in a Constitutional Republic. We do not even live in a Democracy. We live in a country where we have all kinds of people who do not know God, let alone LOVE HIM. How can we expect them to come around to His way of thinking? The thing that needs to be spoken about more than anything is the GOSPEL. Not the one according to man, but the one according to GOD'S WORD.

We always want to share John 3:16, but not in the entirety of its context.

Lets read further; John 3:18-21 NKJV "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (19) And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (20) For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. (21) But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."


You see in a nation and world where we are dealing with non saved, non-believers, how can we expect change in the government? We cannot. Swine love the mud, dogs return to their vomit....until this nation is redeemed one by one by the regenerating blood of Jesus Christ, there will be no peace, no joy, and a lack of love.

This nation individually and as a whole needs to confess their sins, repent, and pick up their cross and follow the King of Kings.
