GRNITE WORLD CH HARDTIME AWESOME... As good as any dog that has ever been cut loose... And I have been with some good ones...

The little brandenburger plott female on the right is currently 2 and she is by far the best dog I've hunted with ! I've hunts against some grandnite dogs and other grade dogs that's good but she stands out . Speed , and smarter than most ! If she was mine and not my neighbors she would be a grandnite in no time .

i like the looks of that dog.
mine would be an ol B&T named Lou , she was sister to smoking jet, she wasnt the fastest, but when she took trail she finished it with the meat, never offered to trash,if she opened it was coon, was a gem to hunt handled like a dream, never titled her I was young but she won many local club and county hunts, sure miss the ol girl I got her at 1.5 she passed at 10. I never got a pup out of her for some reason, untill 9 my ol bulldog got her after no heat cycle for year and half

As far as a night after night coon treein hound (not blowin my own flute) my old barney dog was better meat hounds I ever followed....I hunted with stylier opened mouth hounds but he was tight on ground had a heart so big wasn room for a stomach.....left u in a mindset to find a coon and knew where to look for one...he would do all he had to to show u a coon no matter how cold how hot or how far...except in lightning lol he was scared to death of lightning.....he may not been perfect in some peoples eyes but he was in mine....
Thanks everyone for the positive comments.

Not because he was mine but id say my Dan dog was the best dog I've ever hunted with. Night after night no matter where I cut him he would always get treed and have a coon. I hunted him for 6 years and Id say in those 6 years I didn't kill a coon a hand full of times to him. The first time I ever turned him loose he stayed treed for over 18 hours because we couldn't find him and he had the coon. No matter the weather conditions he always went hunting. He's dead and gone the dogs these days ain't nothing like him. There won't never be another one like him.

i drew out with a little walker female named Tiny once. On the first tree our dogs split and she had the coon. That was the difference all night. My little female couldnt catch back up but we put some points up. Our females would not tree together for nothing. I think they knew it was between them on that cast. That female was real nice from start to finish. Its been a while since Ive been blown away by a good dog like that.

I used to hunt with a dog out of ole Alabama hoss he was a fun hound to hunt with always had the meat 100 yds or 4 miles and very loud chop. It didn't matter if it took til daylight to get to him.
grnitech vaughns red banjo II
just ask around he was a beast in the woods. he would catch alot of coons on the ground. super fast but very accurate tree dog and pull proof!!!

I don't know about COONDOG, but night in, and night out, no matter what the conditions were, our SCREAMER female would find a coon track and put it up a tree. She offered nothing flashy, or exciting just a big unique mouth, and an extremely accurate pressure 70bpm tree dog. Very coon smart, straight find a coon (blazing hot track, or 2 day old track) and tree it. She's in her teen's now with limited hunting, but she hasn't forgot how to tree a coon. Looking back now, we should have finished her to a GRNITECH because she deserved it, but her not being a GRNITECH, didn't effect her ability/desire to tree coons, or produce some nice hounds.

The best coon dog I ever went to the woods with was a plot female called Pon Creek Sandy she was night in and night out under any conditions a coon dog. My dad owned her and sold her to my hunting partner that lived in Tennessee at the time and I was moving to South Alabama. I had the opportunity to keep for a couple of months and in every state in all kinds of conditions she was a coon dog. I would love to own just one more like her. I've had many dogs that were good dogs in these 30 years of coon hunting but only a couple of "coon dogs" and she was the top of the heap.
Sounds like one of them All-star plotts you seldom run it to , my neighbors is the way. would love to have 10 like the dog u said and my neighbors dog . Good story man!
