No real experience with this but have heard that you can and that you get your points and credit for a 1st place if you have plus points .
If that's right I can see your getting the points but don't really see why you'd get credit for the 1st when there wasn't any competition .

page 150 of the advisor,yes if only one dog is in the hunt in any category they can hunt by themselves as long as they have a non hunting judge and hunt the full 2 hours and also have pluss ponts,they will receive championship points.

Fred is correct. If there is only one dog in the category (whether it be REG, NITE, or GRAND) the dog can hunt by themselves, with a non-hunting judge. The dog must hunt the full advertised hunt time and have plus points to earn championship points.
