RIP - UKC World Champ Rock River Gap

Seeing the other Gap thread reminded me that I had a request from Beth Snedegar to let the coonhound world know that they laid Gap to rest last week. He was 15 years old. Not sure if anyone else posted that but wanted to make sure I did because I told Beth I would.

Sure doesn't seem like 12 years ago that I was out on the final cast with Gap and Mike. I will always remember that cast. Gap put on a show treeing coons. One of my favorite world championship finals ever. Glad I got to see him go! Sorry for your loss Beth and Alan.

Wow! Never would have imagined that dog would have still been alive. I think Hardwood Henry was on that finals cast as well. Can't recall the other 2.

RIP Gap. I didn't figure he was still alive either. Would have liked to hunt with him one time.

Henry was on the cast. I think Crow & Grant's Cutter was one of them too. Can't think of #4 for the life of me. Pretty sure they were all Walker dogs though.

I had for gotten what a power packed final was. How many times do you have a whole cast of great hounds that went on to be great reproducers.

Sorry for the loss, looks as though that could have been the greatest final cast in history.

Gap

Sorry to hear this Allan and Beth, he lived a good long life. I remember seeing him go at one of Frank's stud dog hunts, he was a nice one. I was just talking to you about him at Walker Days too. I'm sure you got something young to carry on his name with. good luck down the road.
