All GR.NT.Cast hunt off the grounds Fri.night, (off the grounds) does this mean 15 min. away or 2hr. away ? I am wanting to make motel res. but if I am going to end up in West IN. I will just drive home. THANKS

in the past i have had freinds that hunt 10 min and some that have drove 100 miles. I think it really depends on the guide you draw. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

I and others in my area have guided Gr. Nt. Ch. casts from the grounds and yes, we are right at 2 hrs away.

Last year I was sent to a satellite club, so I had to travel to Convoy, Ohio on Friday night then was drawn out from there. We didn't know where we would be drawn out from until Friday afternoon.

You will not know till the afternoon. My buddy drew out in a Gr Nite cast and had to drive 2 hours north to Bryant, IN. Truth is best to just find a place to stay around Richmond.

I have heard numerous people say that all grands hunt off the grounds, I don't know where they get they're in formation because it is completely false!

Be prepared to drive to a satellite club that could be up to 2 hours away. Or you could hunt off the grounds. But hunting off the grounds does not mean you'll hunt close! I have drawn off the grounds before and had to drive over 120 miles to hunt.

Be prepared to drive and have little rest..that's what Autumn Oaks is about.

Friday night they could be sent to satilite clubs, just as any other hound could be. The top sixteen from the friday night scores will all hunt off the grounds an Saturday night to determine the National Grand Nite Champion of Autumn Oaks.
