Wisconsin State hunt???
Any info on the Wisconsin State hunt? Like what are they giving away, how good is the hunting, and is there any hotels around Highland WI. thinking about making the trip from Arkansas thanks for any info.
Every time I've hunted at highland I've had a wonderful hunt and always came back with a smile, even if I didn't win. Depending on the guide you get though, just like anywhere else. But to warn you they can have some ridicules hills and rocks... Well I think they are bad but where I'm at (about 3 1/2 hours north) is pretty well flat.

Can't tell you much except for the hunting. Good to great hunting, rolling hills with creeks maybe a brair or two. The club holding the hunt is put on by some of the finest/friendliest folks you will find.
Kitten coon are moving up there.
A local club had an RQE in that area last weekend and had some good scores.
Purina points to those searchin & a yellow receipt. I couldn't tell what we are givin away. That department is aptly (sp) covered by not me. I KNOW,there isn't a year lease to a corvette involved.
There are motels in the Dodgeville area, lots of'um for every price range. I think there might be a cement pond or two in some of'um if your the frog imitatin type.
GOOGLE, Dodgeville,Wisc & your bedroll kickin out spot be easy'ta find. Some good eatin joints as well.
We hold it at a beautiful location we are very fortunate to use. Level campin ground may be a challenge though to be honest. As was said,it is possable'ta get some climbin in. Not huge hills by any means compared to other locations but we do have some. Also depends on your guide. Majority try stayin away from the rough stuff & some don't have any. Some, like us,hunt the rock country. Is what we have here. North of hwy 18,hill country. South of it,much tamer.
Come on up,over or down. You'll be treated rite !

The water races held there are worth it. (just as a viewing standpoint) I sure am looking to watching this water race, that's for sure.
