Towanda Pa

I was wondering if any of you fellow coonhunters live in or near this area? My daughter and her faimly are moving to this area. My grand daughter is 13 years old and loves the out doors. She loves all kinda of critters, and she is a dog person plus. She likes to coon hunt. she will need to make some new friends and find her a hunting buddy.

Don, They are moving to an area that is very much country, lots of mountains and there are a few coonhunters around that area. There are places there that you can walk for miles and never see another person or evidence of people. Lots of coons in areas when they are bunched up feeding on acorns, other wise I would say the coon population is sparse for the amount of land available. I had a buddy that lived in that area for a while, I hunted there a lot for a couple years, will just have to learn the area and find the coons. We had trees that it took up to three hours to get to the dogs,if you got one that gets in there that is not rare. When you find them feeding an area it is surely a good time. There is some farm land and the coons love the corn, a lot of mountain brooks and streams, piles of porcupines and bear along with fishers, a hunters dream perhaps!!!! If they ever have a chance to get in my area would be more than glad to take them out with a few of my pot lickers.

Don
I just replied, but hit the wrong key .LOL
Any way I live about 20-25 miles from there, always looking for young people to hunt with, as I'm getting older every day.
you need to set her up with some Deuce blood, LOL.

Don,

I ~40 miles from Towanda the hunting is pretty much what Bill wrote. There is a club there that has usually 1 UKC event a year but a bunch of $KC events. My club is about 40-50 miles and we have 6 events each year. When they get there give me a call i know a couple members from the club but Hersh is a stand up guy and would be a great mentor.
