papers on new dog ?

if you buy a dog & you sent papers in to ukc do you still use old owners info & old dog name or use new info & dogs new name to enter a hunt ??

Conditional Entry

The UKC number will not change, use the new info when entering an event, you will need to pay an additional $5 per entry.

I called UKC about this. I was told to use the old owners name and put yourself as the handler. Pay your $5 Till you get your new entry card.

U have to use the old owners info, if u happen to win and the papers are in the old persons name and u hunt it in your name and the hunt info gets bacl to ukc before the papers are changed they can take the win away

Let me clearify what I said.. If you havent sent the papers in you need to sign it up in the registered owners name.. If the papers are sent in you can sign the dog up in the new owners name
