My Very First Redbone...

1992 UKC World Championship Finals - Crockett, Texas

Here is a picture of my very first redbone. I raised her and trained her from the age of about 5 months. She was out of Gr.Nt.Ch. Dawn`s Timber Jack x Gr.Nt.Ch. Key`s Outlaw Jessie.
Her name was Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Timber Girl and she is still the very best redbone I have ever hunted with, with her half brother Billy the Kid coming a close 2nd.
Does anyone remember hunting with her

I remember going with you to an RQE and got to see her go . If I remember correctly at that time she had won like twenty something casts in A row.

Shane i might have hunted with girl a couple of times.maybe andrews ,In. and columbia city maybe thats been a couple days ago.I think i got 1 of the pups of the first litter off her.

Girl was hard as a rock. Used to hunt her all night and road her 3-5 miles 3-4 times a week. She cut her pad on that right front foot and that's why she wasn't up on her toes in that picture on that foot. She was a hard going dog with more drive than most male dogs. She was my all time favorite

Does anyone have a picture from the Autumn Oaks issue of the bloodlines when she was national gr.nt.ch. redbone of that hunt? I can't find many of the pics I used to have of her and some of her wins. She also won American redbone days in 92 in Ozark Alabama and U.S. redbone days in Illinois and was high scoring opp sex to her half brother Too the Maxx at national redbone days in 92 in Bellvue Michigan. If anyone has any of those old magazine pics feel free to post them on this thread....thanks, Shane

I never hunted with Girl. But I did get several chance's to hunt with one of her pups. Gary Bowman owned "Fever" and I seen her go a few times. She was a very good dog and Gary ,one of the nicest guys in the breed.

It probably goes both ways but they say you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.. There were field trials but no hunts. He got excited when he smelled the track...I just released him when I was told and he was off with the rest...I don't recall whether we won first line or first tree that day, because thereafter he always placed, but I had very little to do with his success other than filing the entries and leading up to the take-off. We also won Best in show female with our other dog and Rip took an RQE Champion male win. He seemed to have more of an intensity than most of the others. I wish we had had the opportunity to put him in some hunts. Possibly he would not have stood out in the elite company in the South and Midwest, but what he did, he did on his own......He is 10 years old now, still sound....still wants to hunt....
