What I do every time before I turn loose......

Each time before I turn loose I pray. Pleasure, HTX, Night hunt, etc. Now them I with or not. I love to do this and have hunted for nine years and only been doing this for past 6 months. A Godly man did it with me and I was like why dont I ever do it. I am a Christian and it moved me. I do not get to talk spiritually with cast members but I do pray that God will bless our hunt, keep dogs safe, and for us as a cast to get along and be honest with one another. I love the effects and have received not one complaint yet.

God Bless

Try it!!!

Amen Rick good job.

If I start competition hunting again, Ill try that myself. Might cut down on the cheating. Will have to see that one for myself.

But we should do it if nothing else for our saftey.
Hope more pick up that habit.

I do before every drop!!! I have been glad that I have as my dogs have been in some hairy situations!!!!
For instance, late January I just took my redbone alone as he is hard to hear when treed. I was hunting fairly close to a residential area and didn't want to draw any attention! lol He strikes a hot boar track and starts moving it at a pretty fast clip.
I see that he is headed towards a house with a barn and all of a sudden I lose signal on my Garmin! I hear another dog barking and know that they have a Rottweiler! Fearing the worst, I sprint the 800 some yards to the barn and find Rebel with the coon in under the barn floor!!! My dog is going nuts, the Rott is going nuts and I'm freaking out thinking I'm gonna get shot!!
Luckily for me the Rott was tied up,the homeowner wasn't home & Rebel got to ride in the front seat on the way home!!
I still thank the Lord ......and oh yeah, TREE RED!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I started saying a prayer before I hunt about 2 years ago and now when ever my son goes I let him say It. It makes me feel like I might be doing something right after all.

that's a great idea. i've always told my dogs to be careful and to watch out for snakes. yea i know it's silly. i wonder if praying for such a minor thing like dogs and recreation if we're not being unchristlike. after all, we're supposed to be about the masters business and that is carrying to word to an unbelieving world. i think we may be just poor stewarts of the time that God has blessed us with.
