Bench Show Training Apprentaship>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

How hard was your 3 bench show training apprentaships you had to do with master of hounds/bench show judge?

Was it a hard one night deal?

Did you know them?

No it wasn't hard, it was a major learning experience. I loved it very much....well, ok...not the MOH as much as the BSJ. But they were very fun and if your lucky, they will make you do paperwork and learn it. That was harder then anything. I've be a licensed BSJ and MOH since 2001.

Yes, I knew them all personally, but then again, if you go to many shows and hunts, you will know them all.

I recently completed my BSJ requirements in March.
It was a good learning experience and I found out more about the coon breeds and how dogs, in general, move.
My first was more of a just watch and learn with some hands on paperwork, and lots of checking the dogs out.
2nd was even better.
3rd, was a sink or swim thing! I did almost everything on my own with the judge looking over my shoulder. This was very nice after taking it slow the first two times.

Most importantly, you want GOOD EXPERIENCED PEOPLE TEACHING YOU. Don't settle for Joe Blow who hasnt' been in the game very long or it'll make for a long road ahead.
