UKC NiteCh Pkc Ch ACHA NiteCh Dry Creek Rocky

The best way I can describe Rocky is to tell you that he is a coon dog. there aint nothing flashy about him. he was the runt of the litter. he treed his first wild coon by his self at 4 months old and I was hunting him by his self at 6 months old and treeing coons. I sent him to terry tibbs to hunt him in his training pen and after a week he calls and tells me rocky doesn't need to be hunted in the pen that he jus needs to be hunted. I sent him to mac singltons for him to hunt and mac put the coons out to him. there has been some ups and downs while I have been hunting rocky but I think he has got some age on him and settled down and has turned into a coon dog. Rocky made ukc nite ch at 2 yrs old with 3 first places[I think] he now has 2 wins toward grand nite. he jus made pkc ch at the cut over classic this weekend where he hunted against 2 dogs that has a bunch of $ won and leading a couple of different races. I also have jus started hunting him in some acha hunts and he made nitech in 6 hunts. the only one I lost was when I withdrew him cause I couldn't get back in time after we called time out. he is also winning the state race as of now in acha. rocky will turn 3 yrs old next month. come go for a hunt with him and see for yourself

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I will get a hold of you next time I'm headed down there maybe we can get together for a hunt. I may try and get down that way for PKC Bluetick Breed hunt in June. How far is this hunt from you?

it takes about 45 mins to get there. Sulligent is a great place to hunt.

It's about time you started a thread on Rocky. I have hunted with Rocky many times. Rocky's strong point is he will flat go hunting. Rocky will get deep and get alone when he can but will also work with dogs if need be. He is a stay put tree dog and I have seen him stay treed for long periods of time alone. Rocky can move a track good, but I have also seen him tree an old layup coon. He is a nice little hound for sure. Jason please post his pedigree on here and let us know his breeding. turned rocky and a pup loose last night in the drizzling rain. rocky struck in and trailed about 100 yrds and made it look easy. couldnt really see the tree but i found him. good pat on the head and headed home.

thanks darren we do got some nice dogs. hope we got some more coming.

hunted in a pkc hunt last night found rocky after the hunt a half a mile away under a coon. o well thats the way it goes sometimes.

rocky at about 400 yrds falls treed with the coon. not much excitment on this hunt. i think my little huntin buddy is havin a ball hunting rocky and makin his buddies mad that a blue dog is whoopin their tails.

another cast win at the acha hunt last night. rocky smelled it when I got him out the box. didn't even take time to piss and crap,turned him loose and he got first strike and left them wakers stratching their head in the middle of the road. two barks later he was in there bout 100 yrs treed.
