this litter is from a uncle x niece cross- all 8 pups would run an tree a coon-- some of the best stud dogs are from a half brother sister cross'es-- so it's not too close i would'nt thank--but thats just me--

Very good way to line breed. That along with the aunt/nephew cross has to be one of the best ways to double up on the traits you have. Many successful crosses have been made doing this kind of cross.

I am of the opinion that uncle x niece, aunt x nephew, is the absolute best way to maintain what you already have without watering it down too quickly.

I have done it for years and am hunting a 14 month old pup right now that sounds and operates so very much like the old dog I had in 1978. It is uncanny how those same traits will pop up from time to time if/when you know what you have put in them.

Just made one today (April,23rd). GRNTCHGRCH Memorymaker Run 'Em Up Razor and Memorymaker Rock Solid Alli Bye. Alli has a First and Third in U.K.C.,and should Grand out rather quickly.She like Razor is quick on both ends,real Treedogs too. Alli is Sired by Razor's brother,GRNTCH Midnite Swamp Racquet,and whelped by our GRNTCH Deer Creek Dot female. As soon as Alli's finished,these pups will have a 4 Generation All-Grand pedigree. These pups will be ready for English Days delivery. Seems to me,that this should work! I made a 1/2 brother-sister cross 3 years ago.I kept a female that's a carbon copy of her sire[Zues].After searching for a stud,that could compare to her or Zues to breed her to with no luck,she was bred back to her sire [Zues].Pups are due 1 June 2013.I don't know or care if pups can be registered,but,they will be coondogs.
