Kerry Ball has passed
Just receiveved a call from Kerry's son that he passsed last night. Kerry was a long time coonhunter from Elba NY, loved his English Dogs, and attended English Days every yr until his health got bad a few yrs ago. I got my very first English pup from Kerry and he was a good loyal friend and always encouraged my endeavors. I remember Kerry telling me he had the coondog bug so bad that when he was young and in the Army he had his family send him The Full Cry, American Cooner and Bloodlines every month which he read front to back several times and saved every issue!
The last two yrs Kerry has been on oxygen and had emphysema very bad. Kerry would be the first to tell you young guys STAY AWAY FROM THE CIGARETTES!!
He was a good friend and I will miss his company and calls. We rode to English Days several times together and he always had some of the best bred hounds around! Please keep his family in your prayers. When I get the details on the funeral I will post for all you NY hunters that knew and hunted with Kerry.
Kerry Ball
