If we were to hold a Southeastern Black and Tan Association, UKC sanctioned hunt in central Alabama, Would you come or be interested in coming or help guide????????

Just outside of Sylacauga, Alabama!!! I put this up hoping some of the hunters from around the Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tn Area would reply!!!!!

I have fount a really nice venue to hold it!!! This weekend the 20th they will be holding Mule days there and will have 2 to 3 thousand folks attending!! They have 18 camp sites with water and elec. and a dump station, with the plan of adding more, they have room for a pretty much unlimited number of "Dry campers". We could prolly run extension cords and water hoses to the rest of the "dry campers". They have restrooms, showers, a cafeteria with a buffet set up, an auditorium, meeting rooms, everything you would need to hold a big hunt. The price is right too!! They want the money for the camp sites and cafeteria, they will keep it open as long as we want and serve whatever we want served!! No charge for the use of the facility!!!

I'll be there...but would like to see it held alittle earlier. I think it would draw better in Feb/Mar.....Also turkey season is in then and you can't run a dog after a certain hr and some folks don't want dogs running on their land then...Something to think about...

I would prefer the last of Febuary. The 2 management areas in close proximity to this venue have open coon hunting until the last day of the month(Feb.). That would give us somewhere close to 80,000 acres extra to hunt. Plus, Turkey season will not be in yet and the leaves will still be off the trees!!!

We will always need guides!! We like to keep the drive to no more than 1 to 1 1/2 hours at the most! We will be able to have a good 25 guides that will be within the less than 1 hour range and prolly 15 of those are within 30 minutes and half of those within 15 minutes drive. Thanks for the response guys!!! We are gonna try to run this club on the up and up!!!! Cheaters and "Shady" characters are not gonna be tolerated period!! People want and need a club to come too where everyone has the same chance, no matter where they are from or what color dog they walk behind!!!!

That is great!!!!! I really think this will be a great hunt for all hounds and the SEBTA keep up the good work see ya soon

Chris us black a tan owners in Alabama really want this to happen. It gives us an opportunity to support or breed here in our back yard. Trott your doing a great job. Keep up the good work. I want to encourage every one to come and participate when we get this event up and running.

Feb sounds good...It would also draw some hunters from the snow up North. Could grow into a big hunt....Good Job.

I think the idea of holding five hunts around the SE is a great idea. It will be a place for B&T people to go without having to drive way up North. This could really grow into something big if all of us in the SE pull together....
