Has Anyone Thought

about making a training video on comp. hunting for people that want to learn could be some money made in that id think

the best way to learn in my opinion is to study the rules and just go hunt,
its almost impossible for some one to win without some experience j.m.o.

PKC did something along those lines about 30 years ago.
I remember Roy Tramble with his Wicks Hawk dog and Jarvis Umphers were in it.

Dale Brandenburg of Plott fame use to write a monthly article in the American Cooner called Rules Corner. Probably the first section read by most people. Excellent reading and I use to read the questions and try to come up with an answer before I read his. I did pretty good back then. Now I have trouble just reading and understanding the questions being asked. lol

I think there are too many lawyers night hunting now a days.

Thats the only disappointing thing with Google. I can ask Google anything and it can give me an answer and even give me an image. Ask it about coonhunting rules and it is as lost as I am.

Now, Google for coonhunters would be a money maker!!

I've been thinking about making just such a training video for those seeking a career in professional coonhunting. I can't decide who to with as my starring character. What ya'll think? Whitted or Engle? Or should I just split the difference and go with Marv Schmucker? Marv might be a little to honest for pro class.

I think something like that could work. Maybe could even throw in pointers for bench show training, practice test that coincide with scenario's from the video. I'd buy one just out of curiosity.
I know a while back ukc was going to put a practice test on the website every month. You'd take it online and it would grade it then rank you against others that had taken it. Not sure what happened to that idea.

i hear ya, plus u know whoever put one out is gonna have alot of criticism, i do think it would be kinda cool to see one that had concepts if u will, im not sure if thats the right terminology anyway that went through the rules and meaning in a visual format not that i dont understand the rule book, although it was a lil confusing in a few spots when i first read it but im good, i just thought id put the topic up being i,d never seen anything like that happy hunting my friends and be safe
