I BELIAVE WE WERE TWO COON UP ON SOME PRETTY NICE WALKER DOGS IN KOLONA IA I THINK. ONE OF THE FEW TIMES I DIDNT SCREW IT UP.

Mine is one I will never forget.

She is GrNiteCh GrCh 'PR' Midnight Thunder Black Desire

She got her last win at an RQE and Qualified for the world hunt.

The hunt was very nice.

Drop 1: She had 1st strike and 2nd tree with a coon seen.

Drop 2: She had 1st and 1st with a coon seen.

I'm sitting good at this point 400+. The other dogs had 225+, 250+ and 200

Drop 3: I had 1st and 1st again. All dogs get treed in and we apply to 2 twice and low and behold they leave. Now I'm down to 275+ and the rest have 150+, 150+, and 225+. They finally get treed again and the dog with 225+ is off the tree and gets minus for 75 and is down to 150+ and handler withdrews. The tree is circled.

Drop 4: Down to 3 dogs and and I get 2nd strike. Two dogs get close to a road and we call timeout and the other dog is headed back in the swamp. After handler gets back with his dog, he decides to withdrew as well.

Drop 5: I took 2nd and 2nd on a circle

Drop 6: I took 2nd strike and the hunt runs out.

Those last 17 minutes felt like an hour.

GrNiteCh'Moccasin Creek Ben

I went to a two nite hunt. Fri night was a regular hunt and I won my cast but did not have enough points for a NC win.
Sat. night was a RQE and Ben won his cast by getting deep with a coon and that put him up one on the LOUDEST walker dog that I have ever heard.
That win kept me awake for the two hour drive home. I won't ever forget it!

i hate to say it but my first grnite was a walker dog i had out of timber rattler and she was a dead loner when it came to hunting i really liked this little female she was nice. but some else liked her more and money talks i had a couple of others before my black and tan grand nite which was my first dog out of luke i called him stovall's black knight george. he made dual grand at 3 years old i won four straight grand night casts then went on something like 22 cast wins before finishing to grandnite at an RQE then that summer he hung himself hunting one night.

GR NT CH BUZZARD CREEK BLACKPAW made GR NT CH at 17 months of age at Robertson co. They drew minus on a possum and a slick .Blackpaw and Banjo got treed through the country towards the end of the hunt with a coon .+175 I picked him out of a litter that had been linebred to Marchums Smokey when he was 5 weeks old he had alot of black on his feet so I was going to call him blackpaw till I thought up a good name for him but It stuck.Blackpaw had an undesirable trait that gave him an advantage in the hunts he had a big long loud bawl on track and would never open in the same place twice.On every cutloose he would open up every 50 yards until he found a track but he could make it sound just like he was trailing.I could call him treed on his locate when he give the long quivering bawl that would make your hair stand up you could put him on the paper he would be there and as honest a tree dog as you can get.

Dual Gr. Dohertys Northern Nights Zip. Best i ever had and hope to have one like her again someday. Almost all of her wins were by impressive margins, she didnt care what color the other dogs were but by the end of the night they would always remember what color she was.
