Garmin 320 problems.....

I just got a garmin and I might not know everything about it. When I start to hunt it takes forever for the handheld to pick up the collars, it shows them like 3 or 4 miles away, then it takes about 10 min for it to pick up where the collars really are, what am I doing wrong? Thanks

Is the software up to date? My 320 syncs up almost immediately. Only time its slower is if im trying to sync inside a building or garage then its slower

.

Turn your collars on and see how long it takes them get a GPS signal. This is done by watching the lights and see when they go from a single flash to a double or triple flash.

Don't even need your handheld for this experiment.

I turn everything on and lay the collars on top the dog box or something til I see everything is working with satellites before I put the collars on the dogs . My handheld comes up very fast but if I just turn the collars on & put them on the dogs and cut'em they take a long long time to come up to speed and make contact with the handheld . Yours may be telling you at first where you last had contact with the collar until it starts receiving the current signal . My best guess but that's what has happened to me .
