The Bible

Anyone else watching it? Very accurate from what I've seen. If you haven't seen it i recommend watching it.

seen it yet but i dont watch to much tv seen a preview on it would be a very good and intersting show to watch might wake ya up make you start thinkin about how you live

Hillbilly I have strayed for quite some time but I feel god pulling me back and watching this series has really made me weigh alot of things in my life. It's on the history channel.

i was born again 7 yrs ago. i'm watching it. i have learned to be very discriminating in what i read, watch and listen to. the mini series "The Bible" i have found to be pretty accurate. they put too much enphasises on mary, they left out the entire 40 years in the wilderness and the part where Jesus stomps a snake is extrabiblical. samson was protrayed as being black but nothing in the bible indicates he was black. overall, it will be effective in bringing people to Christ and that is good.

The color of anyone's skin in the show has nothing to do with the accuracy of the story in my opinion, they are just actors. I didn't see the part where Jesus stomped a snake. I also have never read anywhere in the bible that he did so. I just meant in general all of the stories the show portrays seem to me to follow closely to the biblical accounts that I have read and heard in church throughout my life.

its not 100% accurate,but it will lead people to the lord iam sure.

the part about the snake is from the movie, "The Passion". I screwed that up. I was thinking about the wrong movie. Still, it's in the movie "The Passion" and it was bogus there.

yes, but there is nothing in the bible that suggests that jesus confronted the serpent, a physical snake in the garden. am i wrong about that?
