I love stories where the lead is buried….

An example—last week’s headlines that the New York Board of Health threw out an edict from the mayor—Michael Bloomberg—to stop selling Big Gulps in the city.

The Mayor thinks this is the prime issue of the day—–the proliferation of sugary drinks consumed by fat people….thus making them fatter.

The issue of the day is government spending! The government giving millions to Syrian rebels while closing self-guided tours of the White House. The simple fact that our nation zooms to a 20-trillion dollar debt and our president isn’t willing to cut ANYTHING.

That’s the news…not whether you can buy a real Coke in a bucket at the convenience store.

As Americans, we should be allowed to dose ourselves with as much sugar as our bodies can hold….we have a right to it—-no matter how stupid the act.

But stupid is having a nothing in your checking account….and writing hundreds of checks around the world….while living in Malibu and driving a BMW. That’s what’s going on in Washington.

Sugar won’t kill you unless you are a diabetic.

Debt will kill this country……

There’s your lead.

Well, I disagree on part of your equation. The Ban, or tried ban will, In their eyes ,the Liberals believe it's saving Healthcare in later life. thus saving money on their Healthcare. I believe, In AMERICA, People ought to be able to do anything they desire as long as it is not against the law or endangers the General Public. there's places @ here that tells you when to cut your grass, what side of the road or street you can park. Wont allow you to put your wash on a clothes line. That's tooooo much governing for me. If I want to watch the grass grow, I own it, well my wife and I. Our state has been under the rule of the Democrats for ever, with an Occasional Republican Governor every now and then. As you probably know, W.V. voted for a convict in Prison in Texas instead of "o". But we keep putting Rockefeller and Manchin back in office, but not on my vote!!
