What Would You Like To See From Sebta ?

Hey fellas we are lucky to have some folks in the SEBTA ,willing to work on making things better in the south. Here are some questions for yall.
Just wondering about yalls input and ideas.

What would wanna make you be a member of an association?

What would give you incentive to participate in hunts in the SEBTA ?

The Sebta assoc. Has big plans ,but needs the support of members.

How would be a good way to raise money,for prizes to be given away at a YOUNG GUNS CLASSIC in TN.?

I support the American bnt assoc.,and visit Flora at bnt day.The Sebta ,would alsi like to see yall up north show some support down here, we would enjoy yall coming down and hunting in our Country.

I told Chris i would help all i can, gonna take a bunch of us to do it right.

SURE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INPUT,THAT CAN BE GIVEN..

This is for Black and Tan Coonhunters across the country.

First thing needed is membership,SEBTA

Currently only has 40 members.This is for BNT houndsmen,this number of members is rediculous.Blackdog men help each other for a good cause.
Lets see how fast we can get membership up,and get the SEBTA headed in the right direction.

Todd one thing I got PMS about for young guns was there dogs were done aged out. So we talked bout sat maybe 2 classes. Not yet 4 an younger. An 4 an older. Young guns/ old pros!

It was just a thought. But glad to see some interest in the assn! Its a good thing for the b&t owners . I think with the support of the breed this assn can grow an put on some awesome hunts!

I just had a call from a man ,that had some good points.He said the assoc is asking for membership. He said he would like to see a plan.Wants to know what the plan is.I thought to myself.CANT BLAME A MAN FOR THAT.

He also said he would like to know that the Sebta ,was gonna provide trophies at Gran American,Winter Classic,Bnt days,Autumn Oaks.
Would also like to see an article in bloodlines about dogs that win at hunts or do a random article on a dog that does well in a yrs time orasuccessful
line of dogs.

Seems like folks wanna see a PLAN,with a plan more interest will be established. Chris you are now the President ,WE NEED A PLAN.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO START A PLAN.

I ALSO TALKED TO ANOTHER MAN THAT CALLED ME,HE SAID HE WILL WORK ON GETTING MEMBERS. THIS IS A GOOD THING GUYS,

I no Mr Holland has been writing articles, don't no witch magazine. I brought the breed trophies up to Chris at the grand a. But like we talked about it costs money. These are things that need to be done. You said it 40 members. That's$400. Hard to buy much. The idea of the young guns this year was to put a few hundred in the bank of the assn. That back fired. Chris is already working on prizes for sebta days this year. Its hard to ask a man to donate money so if we just ask for the support, the money he spends to join, an at the events will help establish a healthy bank account to make these things happen.

I talked with Chris about trying to shoot for breed trophies at the grand a, winter classic, setw days in 2014! Got to crawel for we can walk. That would at least give us as a assn a good goal to shoot for!

Chris, Wormy didn't we vote at the SEBT hunt last fall to move the hunt around to the different states since we are the Southeastern Black & tan Association. I can't remember (I'm old and forgetful). Wasn't it to try and increase membership as well as make the hunt so more people could come or was it to have mlore than one hunt a year and scatter them around the southeast.

Ok home work is almost done now on to the matter at hand and that is direction of SEBTA. well before we get to carried away everyone needs to know that we have a board and people in positions myself and Darryl Hiatt are acting President Bo Staford is vice pres. Darryl is also elected EX-VP I am membership board member , Melisa Rigg is Sec. and treas. Brian Kelly is a board member. so that being said everything that we do and talk about will be handled correctly as to not upset anyone that has been elected or put into a position. I have talked with Todd and he is going to help us get more membership,work with us on future direction. organize futre hunts etc.etc.etc. and we are happy for the help. but please keep in mind that there are people that have put alot of time and energy in to what it is now and some questions you have may need to come to me or any of the other board members

The key to growing is getting membership up and all member come to the annual hunt in october so we can get the correct direction in place all ideas will be discused and voted on as an ass. I dont want anyone to think that we are going to just start making changes with out membership approval. We want growth and that will bring changes I can send a copy of the By laws to any one that wants them and it spells out clear how things are done.

I think someone mentioned something about a monthly article well Mr. Hiatt does one each month in the Blood lines Talks about the hunts peoples hound etc. etc. he does need help cause he runs out of topics also remember blood lines limits it to a few words not sure how many.

We voted to move it to Greenville county coon club in SC and tabled moving it from year to year until next october.

With ya, last year king and queen of hunt--- belt lights high scoring dog of the weekend (all breeds) Dog Box, Trophies. This year will be the same plus other prizes for bench show winners. as far as coons we have good coons at my place in north carolina wormy has good coons in south carolina todd has good coons in TN. Virgina has coons georga has coons but someone will go to all of these places and not tree a coon and say they aint got coons there, dont have it there! you are not going to have coons like the north plus it only takes 1 coon to win. I think the prizes are coverd now I cant control the coon problem, but open for help on the perfict location in the south.

Sorry if this sounds bad good point on the prizes but man it gets old hearing about no coons I cant tell ya how many hunts are won with 1 or 2 coons down in the south I would say the number is high so I really dont think we can fix that problem. Again please dont take this wrong on the coon problem that most of us suffer from

Answered it on othe thread lmao anyway at this time just 1 year until oct. comes around then we will be voteing on years and price oct 2013 the price per year goes to 15 but we will be doing multi year after we all decide on price thanks and sorry at the same time

member . However i did volunteer to help get membership up,for the reason of thinking it is a good thing,especially for us all. I really enjoyed the YOUNG GUNS HUNT ,WE HAD HERE IN TN,and a lot of folks have told me they wanted to see it again.If thats the case i will be glad to do it again,with the help of assoc members and fellow bnt,ers.

Southeastern Black and Tan Coon Hunters Association

The primary purpose of this Association is to provide a community service:
1. To promote the American Black and Tan Coonhound breed.
2. To protect the privilege of owning, breeding and promoting the American Black and Tan Coonhounds.
3. To do anything in the association�s power to protect, promote fair chase and support the right to free cast coonhounds to hunt raccoons on public and private land.
4. To conduct coonhound events under the rules and regulations of any recognized Kennel Club that the association chooses to participate with.
5. The club shall not be conducted or operated for a profit and any member or individual shall use no club monies for personal gain.
The location of the Association is located in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The location of the association does not mean that if you live outside that area you cannot be a member, we want all Black and Tan hounds men/ women to be a member , this is just the general location of the events and this will help give northern and western hounds men /women an opportunity to come down south and enjoy our hunting areas as we do.
The 2013 hunt year will consist of one (1) at Greenville County Club in SC October 24th, 25th and the 26th. The Association will host a bench show on Friday, October the 25th and Saturday, October the 26th, .
.The future is looking bright for the Association in 2014. We hope to have seven (7) total hunts that will be United Kennel Club (UKC) sanctioned, dates will be determined at the October hunt during the Association�s annual meeting. We also hope to tripling our members from 40 to120,
With the help of all we can reach that goal this is our 4th year. We are very excited about future hunts and the growth of the Association.
All donors and donations, pictures of the winners with prizes will be listed in the Coonhound Bloodlines magazine after the October hunt but this will take member to work as a team to promote this so to meet the goal.
With the help of Brian Kelly we will be actively working on the 7 hunts with UKC. (2) hunts dates will be for the annual SEBT days hunt so the remaining (5) will be used at other clubs that would like to host and help promote a hunt sponsored by the SEBTA, this will all be done by close of business in October 2013.
With the help of Todd Wicks we will be putting on a Young guns /Old proses hunt at a location that Todd and Brian feel will be at the best interest of SEBTA and its members they will ask for input but they will make the final decision, also the date and cost will be established by them with your input and it will be an all-Black Hunt and must be a paid member to enter.

Thanks guys good things to come and please anyone that reads things I put on hear dont take anything I type in a bad way sometimes I type what I think and it doen't come out correctly no harm ment to anyone or their thoughts and ideas, and I respect all so as you read keep that in mind.
