Forrest Is It True ?

Man told me you resigned from being President of the SEBATA !!!!
Looks like the South Eastern Ass.,is gonna need some help and knew ideas
to get the other folks in our breed involved.
Looks like it is gonna fall by the way side if more dont get involved.
A total of 40 members,is hardly a drop in the bucket compared to the American.

Todd everything you said is true so that being said if you are truely concerned about it, and I hope you are than what can you do to help this out? This is not to piss anyone off but we want to do things for the breed and our focus is in the southeastern states and so that this is understood most of the members in the southeastern are active members of abtcha and suport everything they do so at no time will this ass. be in comp. with the abtcha. One question for you Todd why are you not a member? we could use your ideas and your help we had a meeting this past weekend and yes your name was brought up and we would like for you to be involved.So what do ya say are you just asking the ? to get something going or are you concerned and want to help hopefully help give me a call if you would like to chat. We want everyones support but we dont want any games we want to hunt our BLACK DOGS and that is it!!!!

You got that right Todd. We need all the help, ideas, an members we can get. So glad your willing to point it out. Now hopefully you will step up an help us. Cause we sure could use your help buddy!! You have a gift!! An the assn coulduse it. I beleivE you could sell dirt to a ditch digger!! Not many can do that!

Todd it won't fall by the wayside there is a fully competent board of directors put into place to keep it going if you will remember I told you a long time ago I had a great board and if something was to happen I knew they could handle it. The association will be fine it just has to take baby steps grow and mature like anything else.

Chris, My membership has not been paid up this year and a lot of others have not been paid up.I think we could pick up more membership if we had a post on here about were to send my membership.I did organize a successful hunt that many were involved in and wanted to see again.It was a lot of work and me and Forrest done it all alone,just 2 of us.I think the Southeastern ass.,could really be something nice.But i will give my opinion,that North Carolina and South Carolina is not a central location for many. I think TN is a much better central location.I also think many coonhunters have jobs that are affected by weather. I think it would be a better idea to jave hunts when work is better. I hate i couldnt make it to the young guns,but have had a lot on my plate as of lately.I think an assoc. News letter needs to be developed,so peoplekow what the plans are.Chris i have more ideas about making the assoc grow and getting more involved than most ears wanna hear.

I AM ALL FOR THE ASSOC. I THINK IT COULD BE A GREAT THING FOR US SOUTHERNERS AND OUR NORTHERN FRIENDS,SEEING HOW WE GO UP TO FLORA AND HUNT,I THINK SOME OF OUR FRIENDS UP NORTH, WOULD ENJOYING COMING DOWN HERE AND HUNTING WITH US AND SEEING THE DIFFERENCE IN OUR LAND AND TERRAIN. It was and experience for me to go up north and hunt in them fields and them lil narrow wood strips.I think them guys would enjoy being cut loose in our big timber tracts.I will call you ,i got more ideas to make it grow.Beleive me ,i have thought long on it. I also know it will take more than a handfull to make it work. JMO. I will do more than my part . We gotta make some hunts attractive enough to get attention and want people to participate.

Forrest ,with only 40 members .That is hardly more members than a classroom full of students. We need a News letter,with planned number of hunts at diff locations in central U.S. Need to do so many hunts a yr,with incentive to show up. If you participate in a certain number of these hunt it should qualify you for the Classic.The Classic should have attractive winnings such as lights ,dog boxes,garmins ,shock collars. The South Eastern can grow to a good assoc. Why wouldnt any bnt man not be involved in something good for ourselves.

Todd in the meeting sat we talked about moving the young guns back to Tenn. Cause yal done a great job, but we have to have someone from Tennessee step up an be willing to get the club an guides to care of. All other members can help advertise an help fill spots. As far as dates an conflicts with other clubs are personal, there's always gona be that. Regardless of were its at or what date!! You talk bout location. You have to consider Greenville co. Is 3 hrs from Knoxville, 2 hrs from Atlanta, 2 hrs from charollette. I mean its a good location depending on whether your saying middle USA. Or middle south east.An we talked bout moving sebta days between 2 clubs every 2 years. Just alot of talk an ideas between the few that showed. But I am wanting to see this assn grow. An like the idea of you getting involved!!

Todd thanks for the call and welcome aboard. to all association members now and all that will be, there will be lots of new things comin down the pipe line and we will be doing some voteing by phone and also making some changes to better what we already have. Some out there think that the association has failed but it has not, are membership is up but needs to get bigger, we had our most successful hunt last year in all the years of this association over 120 dogs in 2 nights and with the support of everyone we can do better with team work and one common goal Black and Tans this can be a big part for the breed in the south and in the north it just takes lots of support, leadership and follow through. I ask all that are willing to give ideas and helpful advice so that we can be succesful in helping the SEBTA grow Thanks Chris

we only do 1 year at a time, but with that said we are going to make it multi year this year at the meeting with a vote and a price I would hate for you to pay say 30 for 3 year membership and in october we make it 25 for a 3 year ya know what I mean so as of now just 1 year sorry

Start a thread and tell us a little about it, I thought it was ABaTCHA? Maybe a little info on the Association would get you more members. I have heard SEBTA but always thought it was a branch of the other.
