Garmin System/collar Updates?

I have a Garmin Astro 220 and I run 1 DC 30 collar, and 2 DC 40 collars with it. My question is I was recommended to go online and update the software on the receiver and the 3 collars. I just updated it all and was wondering how much this helps the system? Still learning the tricks of the Garmin lol... Thanks

I downloaded a uploader deal from Garmins website. Plugged my receiver into my computer. Then followed the steps given. Here is a video it showed me on youtube that basically explains it all

This is what I was told to do. Said it helps the system and collars ( not used it since the upload)

*Then I followed these steps doing 1 collar at at time. While my receiver was plugged into my Laptop.

I just done all these because it was recommended and I was just wanting to know if anyone else had done it and what their results was from it ( better tracking, no difference, etc )

I just had a problem with 1 DC 40 collar which turns out it needed a new antenna...
