Valley Creek LaCrosse Boots????
Anyone try the work boot with chaps? How did they last and how are they for being water proof?

Mudlights w/chaps about 1 year old have not leaked, good summer boot cold in winter. Or heavy socks
Most comfortable boot you will ever wear. Not as tall as the rubber boots, so they don't bind on your legs. Won't leak as long as you are just "in and out" of water, but if you have to stand around in water for longer periods of time, they will seep a little.
They are phasing out the mudlite and have introduced a new boot called the "arrowhead". It's an awesome boot, pretty durable, very comfortable.
If you want durability, go with the pro chap with the leather boot. If you go with the leather boot make sure you have a good boot dryer and you apply a good water proofing spray once or twice a month or, depending on how much you hunt. If you are looking for comfortable, maintanence free boot, go with the arrowhead or the mudlite on the pro chap.
The biggest part of making a pair of boots last Is keeping the chaps pulled up to minimize rubbing and to MAKE SURE YOU USE A BOOT DRYER!!!!! These new style breathable boots will get mildewy and start to break down if they sit around moist all the time!!!!!
If you have anymore questions just give Redgy a call!!! He make look like a dickhead but he really is a pretty nice guy!!!!
I keep my LaCrosses sprayed with Camp Dry...no leaking problems. The problem I have with them is the fact that they are a Wellington style boot and they don't fit tight to your leg letting jaggers and woods garbage to drop into the boot. I was constantly stopping to dump my boots.
