size question (off breed)

I have a puppy that is between 11 and 12 weeks old, he is already 17 inches tall and roughly 25 lbs, how big do you think he'll get?

thanks!
Lizz

Lizz thats going to be a very nicely built hound and I would agree he'l be in the 75-85 pound range and maybe right at the Standard Max Height 26-1/2 to 27-1/2" ..

I keep alot of our litters and He sound like he matches for age Hieght and Weight ..

here he is 5 weeks ago when we first got him

he is 1/4 German Shepard and 3/4 English Mastiff (or close to, may also have some unknown breed in there)

I am gonna do a DNA test that tells the breeds they are, so I'll keep ya posted

Lol!!! Just start training obedience now.. Sits, downs and especially "back up"... I have had to use a shock collar twice on my younger girl (15 months) to teach her not to run over and smash tiny dogs that other people own The big dogs usually learn their size pretty quick, she now lays down to greet anything under about 40lbs.

BTW he is freakin adorable!

thanks, he knows... Sit, lay down, shake (both paws), stay, roll over, speak and whisper... back up is next!!!

I taught one dog shake... Be careful.. Mine will clock you in the face now trying to to be cute

Posted by RED REBELS on 03-15-2013 07:19 PM:

yup, my Rott used to do that, but I'd rather he shakes when I dont want him to than not doing it when i want to, it comes in handy when letting them inside during the spring and fall when its sloppy outside

Thats a good lookin pup!

I just got a German Shepherd...at 11-12 weeks he was 34lbs...at 15-16 weeks he is 47lbs...

Not sure how tall he is..he is a good sized pup already...

He squashes my parents 3 little dogs...they are vicious and fast when they play...he is clumsy and in that awkward stage and not graceful or fast..after he has enough he just falls on them lol...

That awkward stage can be tough for a big pup in a house..get anything that can fall.and break secured as they will end up knocking down everything at one point or another lol...and their.tails end up about right to sweep everything off the coffee table..
