Just Curious
I have gotten a pup 8 months old and was wondering if anybody could give me any info about some of the dogs in his ped. Here are a few Reincke's Hannah The Dog, Rasen River Stylish Jack Terra's Charley Creek Clay. He has several dogs that are out of the Reincke's line. What were these dogs known for tracking ability treeing or what? Thank you in advance.
On top he has ole souths stylish rebel and stylish clover. On the bottom he has medleys hardwood swamp, Hard Rock Cafe, hardwood maniac, nailor, and Schultz stylish coma. What were these dogs traits
Nobody knows anything about these hounds. I have never even heard of most of them.
Terra was not person but Clays mother and she won the UKC World Championship. Nailor put his mark on many dogs of today. Really loud hard tree dogs. I didn't like Maniac or his pups, including Swamps. Clover, on the other hand, I'm very familiar with. Super dogs! Track dogs! I'd hunt one! You have a lot of really good and hard to get old blood. Hope this helped!
Thanks
Thank you for the reply. I figured it was older blood when I hadn't heard of many of them. He has 3 crosses of Hannah the dog. I think he has the genes now its up to me to put him in the woods.
Btt
Charley creek terra had a lot of brown on her legs... It went almost to her feet. Nailor was a very big dog and produced very big dogs too. Clover dogs were mainly Black headed dogs with a lot of white (open spotted) bodies. The we're very stocky well built dogs...not too tall but heavy built. They got that from there grand mother,Lone pone Jill...or from lone pine breeding. Basically bozo and Finley river. Those dogs go back at least 20 years and Finley river 40-50 years ago. As I said before they are good blooded dogs. Foundation stock for today's dogs for sure.
The Reincke's are from southwest Michigan. The Reinke's are a father and son team. Judd is the father, and his son is Mark. I believe their dogs go back several decades, and maybe all the way back to the 1970's. The dog I am most familiar with is their female named Hanna. I think Hanna went back to Nite Heat breeding. Hanna was a tree dog, and did well in the hunts in Michigan years ago (1990s, maybe).
The Reinke's are still breeding and hunting the same line today. They typically, like to keep and hunt females.
Jim Kidney probably would be able to give you more information.
