Whats the average age at your club?

Been to UKC hunts the last two weekends and the turnouts were not too bad for March with 4-8 inches of snow on the ground. 16 at Wyatt last week, heard they had 20 or 21 Friday night at Silver Lake and I think we had 17 at Silver Lake last night.
I notice the average ages seems to be purty young these days. It's enough to make a guy feel old setting around the clubhouses today. Most of the handlers are kids in their teens to early 20's. I think at Wyatt there were maybe 3 guys over 30 and I didn't seem many more than that over 30 handling at Silver Lake. This really is a young mans sport.
One other comment. I have lived most of my life in the same area so I can't really speak of other parts of the country but around here, I cannot remember the last time I saw a club send one cast of dogs in the registered or NtCh classs to the woods. For all this talk of cheap titles, you title one in this area, you will have to beat several casts and some purty darn good dogs along the way. Congrats to the winners at Silver Lakes Walker sectional this past weekend. Frozen snow in March and a plus points cast win ain't nothing to sneeze at.

Totally opposite here. ive been to just a few this past yr, only entered one myself. id say ave age is 45

I hunted with one about 14,one 16 and one 21 or so just thur night. Got beat to lol. Next time. I might just let them hunt.

Our club is mostly older folks and i like it. We've jus got a lil club tucked away in the mtns but we've never had any fueds or complaints. I like drawin out with older guys an listenin to the storys of old! Im only 30 and they make you feel like you fit right in. And if young people would take the time to listen they could learn alot about coon huntin and character and focus a lil less on cheating there way to a title. Plus the old guys walk a lil slower a i got no complaints on that either. Haha

Our club is almost all older guys. But the guys handling the dogs in the hunts are mostly young'uns around here. And they're purty good at it.

At our club the average age is 30 something for club members. And those that attend are teens all the way up to 30 something.

our clubs average age would be around 40. i consider my self an above average hunter!!LOL

At our club its about 35 to 40 went to a hunt last night there were 31 dogs that hunted the average at that club was about the same as ours but there were several youngsters there as well

I would estimate the average age of club members in this area to be 50-ish. I sure wouldn't need to take off my shoes and socks to count up the handlers under 30 that I see at the hunts with any regularity!
