-- when to breed a female (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928307281)
when to breed a female
on what day is the best time to breed a female
depends on the female. seen one ready at 6 days, seen one not ready till the 15 th day. most will be the 11th day.
breeders guides will tell you from the 9th day on.
but if you really want her pregnant take her and get an ovulation test.

Last year we bred littermate sisters,,,, 1st 1 ready to breed in 4 days and in 8 days you could not tell she had been in heat. The 2nd female was bred on the 1th day.... This year the 2nd female was not ready on the 11th day and was bred on the 14th .... So each female and each heat cycle is different...... Take your female to your vet and run a progestrone test on heat and you cant go wrong
