Fact checking sites

I was interested this past fall in checking into fact checking sites. So I conducted an in-depth study on them.

#1) Most are supported by liberal organizations tied to media or higher education. There are only two who aren't.

#2) Most citations used are from liberal media sources. I am sorry but citing anything, but government documents or direct quotes are unacceptable.

Just look at MSNBC, 3 times within the last year they have been caught duping video tapes. Yes, media is the go to source for fact checking????????????????????????????????

If your source is not a legitimate source, it is in fact not a reliable source.

I see on another post that someone said not according to Snopes. Well, guess what, most of their citations are from liberal media. So while, Snopes is not supported by a liberal organization. Its so called facts are often not verified appropriately.

Go figure.

I can only hope the "media" became pissed off enough when Obama shut them off to go play a few rounds of golf to realize Obama is NOT their buddy like they think he is.

Why u mad for me? I could care less what he does. Media's the upset ones for being shut out not I. Larry's just pointing out what kind of a snake in the grass Obama really is. The liberal media's in love with the joker and he let them down.

Naw,not at you!! LOL!! Obama is a politian,you can't hardly name one who isn't a snake. Obama is good with the media but that's the goal of most politians. I have many interest. Right, now my son's are my top priority. I try hard to expose them to as many outdoor pursuits as possible, and to teach them the values that I believe will help them to be happy, productive members of society. I have been involved in Boy Scouts for 22 years. My favorite outdoor pursuits are coon hunting, bow hunting, and trapping. All of which I have been doing for 40 or more years. I have also been involved in several outdoor organizations such as Michigan State United Coon Hunters Association, and the Michigan Trappers Association. I have even been involved in Genesee County Earth Day Coalition.

I believe in education, the power of a single individual, and personal responsibility. I only become concern about politics when I believe polilitics threatens the things I hold dear.

Yes, that is why from time to time I post political post. I don't have a problem with anyone who doesn't believe in the same beliefs as me. It is when those individuals impose their beliefs on me and try to limit my freedoms that my ire peaks.

I have known this for a very long time. Not too long ago there was a flap about whether or not a bill would cut medicare. Well Snopes or one of those other "fact check" orgs took the dems side and said that no it wouldn't cut medicare.

BUT if you followed the link that THEY PROVIDED it plainly said, right from the mouth of the one that wrote the bill that it would cut it by 300 Million. Right in the link they said proved it wasn't going to get cut.

They knew they were lying for the dems, but they didn't care and even their own source proved their "fact check" to be a bald faced lie.

Yep,but some of your constituents use the same sites to prove cons.points or to disprove dem. points.I guess nothing is 100% unless you're die hearted enough to believe.

I can't remember using a "fact checking" site since seeing that bunch of BS. They don't "check facts" all they do is spout the DNC talking points.

There isn't one. You have to do the work yourself otherwise you are leaving yourself open for their agenda.

I personally haven't found one that wasn't a mouthpiece for the DNC. You can bet that if Snopes or Fact Check say something opposite to Obama then it was a bald faced, flaming, no other way to report it other than a lie and then they will say "mostly untrue" or "slightly true" or some other apologetic way to do it as gently as possible.

On the other hand if it says "maybe true" or "possibly true" or something like that about a conservative point you can bet that it is a solid fact and they just don't like it.

It's pathetic.

Hey ,check this fact.By going over the fiscal cliff or sequester,The federal gov. will actually spend $15,000,000,000.00 more this year than last year.The only jobs lost are the ones that haven't been created yet.Could this be true?

There are a ton of people that are totally "discusted" of what Obama stands for and the job he has and is doing in Washington that has never looked at Snopes. I for one until today.
