Need help folks

I just got this dog about a week ago,she is a pure breed gyp, shehas supposedly seen a caged coon andtreed two or three coons, but thats just what i was told, so idk what to do so any help would be greatly appreciated

Take her hunting with another good dog. See how she does. If she runs and trees good and is a stay put tree dog, then hunt her by her self some. You will know what you have after a few hunts. It won't matter what anyone else said after you've spent a few nights in the woods with the dog. You'll know first hand.
