What's the best dog you ever owned?

The best dog I ever owned was a Dual grand champion male dog named High Spirit Dan. When you thought there wasn't a coon out he would come up with one. He was the best dog that I ever and will own

Rock River Dalton, Banjos Stylish CD. The Max dog that I hunt now is prob not the best coondog but is more fun to hunt.
Also Lucky Penny, who was out of the old Hickory Creek Tom dog that won the World Hunt a few yrs back. She is the grand dam to the Max dog that I hunt now..........

Golden Woods Bo. Didn't do nothing special other than tree coons. Wasn't the loudest, fastest, prettiest, fastest chop, longest bawl, or anything like that but he just flat treed coons.

I have two that I thought were way above average. The first was Mt. St. Sam. He'd tree coons faster than anything that was in my area. Then there was Mt. St Sneaker, I got her in on a dog deal. I guy took her for 30 day trial. He didn't buy her. I tried to sell her, couldn't, tried to give her away, couldn't. Got a call to go hunting from my bro-in-law, I said I'll go but I don't have anything to hunt. He said bring that female you got. I told him she couldn't be worth a nickel, He sais, Bring her anyway, We need a good laugh. We went, and I don't know why she didn't sell. She treed coons everywhere. real independent, Stay put tree dog. Winner wherever she was hunted. Granded her out quick.

Wabash river's stylish lady for me . Just a pr female out of my old snap dog and a Hayes female I had . Lady wasn't a comp. style dog cause she was to independent , but if you wanted a get through the country have the meat type dog she was it , she died at the age of 5 , missed her ever since .

GRNTCHGRCH Robinsons English Looser was the "best" I not only owned,,........... but also drew,hunted with, ect ect. He is still the ideal to the coonhunters around this town

he was also not too shabby of a show dog when he felt like showing off

however my all time favorite to hunt, was his younger full sister, NTCH Ozarks Rebel Battle Cry (Crank)

had a male out of hayes jr and a lipper female that was a good coondog he didnt mature and start doing what he was born to do until he was about 2 years old. he granded out quick with my brother handling him and a handled him in some youths was about 80% accurate ok on the track but wouldnt fool with a cold track that much would run with his head in the air winding coons most of the time did mess him up alittle bit when it was windy and hilly would pull up short a few times but was a pleasure to hunt didnt even have to leash him just tell him dead coon he would come off the tree..open the kennel door he would load up by himself you could call him across a river or lake if you were ready to go and he would come running not the best i hope to own but one i want never forget.

II chance I know I'm prolly gonna get called out on this because someone not agreen but every dog I've seen that was a late bloomer made a lot better dog then his littermates that started young and most titled out fast in the night hunts! I got one rightnow he is 21 months didn't start treeing and going hunting until five months ago will run a track as nice as you want and will tree when the coon are moven when they are not moven he will track them and locate but never set in a tree he just isn't sure of himself for being green. When he turns it on this spring when the hunting gets better he will be hard to beat if I took him to hunts after spring ain't no doubt he would title out quick but I just don't comp hunt I let the 22 be my score card plus I don't feel like haven to memorize all them rules so I can bend them to my favor! Haha jk
