Ivermectin Question
Do you use straight Ivermectin or mix it to coat the throat?
it is such a small quantity that its kinda tough to give it to em straight...off the top of my head i think a 100# dog needs 1CC..thats tough to measure and give a dog...
we dilute ours in food grade glycol and squirt it on scraps or canned food or whatever they will gobble up...
cant remember the mix off the top of my head...my buddy been doing it for years...he tells me what to measure up and i follow is instructions...

1cc worms 110lbs
just mix with a few ounces of milk they lap it right up
The correct amount is 1/10cc per 10lbs of body weight..I draw up my dosage then fill the rest of my needle with juice or Gatorade.. Milk lines the stomach and prevents proper absorbing.. That why your prescriptions usually say do not drink milk.. Unless its a specialty drug..

I simply draw what I need with the syringe and squirt it on their feed . This works for me with good eaters and should be all the mixing it needs since it's already a 1% solution before you ever draw it out of the bottle . A picky/slow eater I would use a different method . Pups I put it on a treat of some kind and watch it eaten out of my hand so I know they got it .
I draw it up and squirt in mouth then feed. that way they can get the taste out of their mouth by eating. I have mixed it with a little coke or something sweet. but meds before food seems to work fine.
