track dog that can tree

yall ever have a dog that just loves to track...but can also tree with the best of them when they want to but is a dern good track dog just aint really built up the want to track and tree when you turn them aloose? i got one rightnow that he will go a few nights of tracking and treeing then the rest he goes back to being a pup and just tracks and tracks and tracks then goes back to tracking and treeing..he will run and tree his own coon ive seen him do it alot of times but some nights he just tracks and thats it throws some locates in there but never really trees then some nights he is a coon treeing machine and has treed a possum also. the coons aint been moven al that good and he is being hunted on wma land no buckets im just wondering should i break my rules since i know he can tree and turn him on buckets to build his confidence up?? this is his first kill season he has only been hunted for five months out of his life so he is still green..im ust wondering would some buckets help this dog instead of me wanting him to tree wma coons that he sometimes has to go along ways to find/tree?? ive trained a good bit of dogs got a young dog here that im worken on rightnow but he has that treepower bred in him bad he checks mail boxes if you catch my drift he aint gonna be that great on the track from what i see but will make a nice tree dog! its mine im pullen my hair out on! hahaha dern good track dog that can tree coons like crazy when he wants but he has them nights where he just wants to track and locate but never grab wood! thats also why i might pay a guy if my buddy gets me on at the mines because his training aint done yet my dog that is but im ust wonering is a put a couple buckets out woud that really help him or just make it to where when i do hunt him on public land like ive been doing could it hurt him in the long run?? i had a bucket out but i took it up awhile back when i was tunen my female up not a big fan of buckets but if i can get this dog to tracking and treeing like he does n the good nights he will be hard to beat dern dog can slap work a track he treed a coon i turned aloose 3 hours befor i went and got him if that helps eny..and i geuss im kinda geting sad that i might have to hang it up for awhile also and cant work him the way i want to might have to do something different like buckets.

them finley river dogs run track super and tree super accurately. pups are just gonna be pups, shine like a million one night, look like crap the next. hard tro remember that some nights.
if you use buckets, put them out a ways instead of turning loose right on top of them.

this one aint finely river headless unless i go back 6 or 7 gen on him! haha but i know what you mean ive been waiten until after midnight to hunt him coons have been moven after midnight alittle but they aint moven like they should. i was just wondering if a bucket or two would help kind of draw the coons off of the swamps where the frogs and stuff are still at to that one spot so he can possible get a nice track that he can work instead of me casting him and hopen he gets a track he has confidence to tree on dern dog will take a cold track and work it to death and locate but just is not sure of himself on that coon being up there for some reason. and he will hunt for a coon ive turned him down a creek he turned looked at me like watch this and went across the road struck and treed a coon he can wind the fire out of them just sometimes he want tree to save his life hates a coon aint trashy just want back a dog unless the meat is up there all out gonna be a good dog when he gets out of this young dog state of mind he is in just wanting to track but not finish the track with a tree has holed a few and treed a few just loves to track! hhaaha
