Ukc???

If you are out of state hunting in a UKC hunt you don't have to have an out of state license right?

Does UKC have something in writing that states this???

Redgy, In SC all hunts no matter which registry must have a permit issued by the state DNR which allow out of state hunters to hunt. It is the responsibility of the club to obtain the permit. If no permit out of state hunters could be prosecuted. I dont believe UKC has any special exceptions with any one state.

most states issue a "field trial" licence though there dnr/cd......and that covers your out of state hunting as long as its confined to the event licenced. (scorecards make good proof and usualy have that licence # written on them at the club)

some states also require all out of state hunters sign a sign up sheet at the clubhouse, which is kept at the clubhouse for inspection if needed.

I doubt there is a single state in this country that would care a bit what UKC stated in writing about out of state hunters.

In Indiana, the hunt permit required of the club putting on the event IS your hunting license, regardless whether you are resident or non-resident. It states that right on the DNR permit app.
I think most states are the same way.

JiM is right: it is a state by state issue. Most states I've been to if you have a permit from the DNR (or whatever they call it there) it allows non-residents to hunt in what they consider a "field-triel" (nite hunt) without getting a out of state license to do so. I'm not aware of any state that doesn't make this provision, but there might be some.

I think, but not positive, the permit in IL allows out of state hunters to hunt for a couple days before the event actually starts.

It's always a good idea to check with your local DNR before you host an event. Most states make it fairly easy to get the permits for nite hunts. I know I got the permits for the Winter Classic and the state of Mississippi was super, super easy to work with and extremely helpful.

In Ga., the DNR field trial permit cover hunters from out of state but Ga. residents still have to have a small game license.

HERE IN W.V. WE HAD TO WRITE THE PERMIT NUMBER ON THE SCORE CARD, IF STOPPED, THE DNR WOULD RADIO IN AND GIVE THEM THE PERMIT NUMBER TO VALIDATE THE PERMIT AND TURN US LOOSE!

Posted by GA DAWG on 02-05-2013 11:57 PM:

We get a permit at our club through Dnr. Covers outta state hunters and opens up some state land.

They had an issue with the permit was for one location and hunt was moved to neighboring town do to turnout. So no permit issued for new location. This was what I heard threw the grapevine.
