Started Pup

I got a 7 month old bluetick female that I have been fooling with. I wanted to get some input from some other people. I started taking her when she around 6 months old and you know the typical dog they will hang around your feet. Well I have been taking her twice a week and she has had probably 9 or 10 coons shot out to her already, and she will tear a coon up once we shoot it out. The past two trips I have taken her she has ran with the older dog. Those times she went she has stayed at the tree the whole time. Shes doing really good, but my concern is that after we shoot the coon out she will fight it until I pull her off of it. Then I usually take the coon and shake it in front of her then ill run it through the woods about 40 yards and put it up a tree. She will trail it all the way up to the tree then she will just sit there and look at it. I know she is still very young but she doesnt bark at it while its lying in the tree. I have showed her one coon in a cage and she didnt bark at it or nothing but like I said she will tear one up though. Have any of yall ever had one do this before. Im not giving up on her at all but it seems to me that she would at least bark at it in a cage or up a tree while im messing around with her. Let me know what you think.

STOP

STOP giving her coon that SHE is not treeing on, it is your fault she sits there and looks at it, she knows you give it to her for just being there. 7mnths is nothing, put her up for a few weeks/month

no tree no coon. after her 2nd coon she had enough till she starts treeing. but to make you feel better i have a young dog that will not tree a hang up or pay any attention to dead game. don't believe in caged game very much either. seen too much cage stuff set a dog back. you can hiss, squall, jump up and down rub the tree and act a fool and the dog will just sit there and watch you dance. when i see guys doing this i just get behind a tree and laugh lol. you can teach a dog to sit roll over fetch and play dead. BUT you cannot make one tree. you can make it bark but treeing is something that must come naturally. give you pup time and let it grow up a little. see if its instincts start to kick in. best wishes.

So I have a question. How do you train a dog then without showing it a coon? A puppy doesnt know what to do when you take it out there for the first few times by itself. So that pup isnt gonna get a coon by itself first time going out. I mean some dogs have done that but my experience of hunting I have never seen that. Everytime I hit the woods Im gonna take her out with me, its a heck of a lot better than standing her up in the pen for a long duration. I have had a lot dogs before this one and some has done the samething and there instincts do kick in after time but everybody has there different training techniques.
