question about the Lee Crawford hunt at Walker Days...

we have a dog eligible...

does the owner of the dog have to be a TWBFA member??

does the handler of the dog have to be a member??

we have a friend that might wanna take the dog...we are hunting our pups in the pup hunt...we are members so it doesnt matter for us...

but the registered owner of the dog doesnt hunt anymore so he quit paying up...the kid that wants to hunt the dog doesnt hunt EVER so he isnt a member..both COULD be if they need to be....they dont wanna waste money if they dont have to be...

hopefully if the younger kid goes to a few hunts he will get back into running dogs....he just wants to go to Walker days because we are going and he wants to miss school lol...

Yes owner and Handler must be paid up... The dog was hunted at a Walker Sectional in 2012 and qualified with owner being paid up??? Or he previously won Lee Crawford to be qualified???

the owner and a handler won a 2012 sectional....

my buddy had a friend that said he'd take the dog to walker days if she was qualified...so my buddy paid up the owner and he was paid up...went and won a sectional and qualified the dog...

now the owner isnt hunting and isnt a member and the person that wants to handle to dog now isnt a member...

kinda confusing lol...the owner of the dog went to college a few years ago and hasnt hunted since....the registered owner is my buddies girlfriends son...so my buddy and I hunted the dog...i granded her out last spring...my buddy won a sectional with her so his buddy could hunt her at Lee Crawford...now he cant make it so my buddies girlfriends other son wants to take her...he has never hunted her...its a waste of money...

my buddy wanted to know who needed to be a member so he can get it figured out prior to the trip...

thanx for the info!! will let him know....no way the kid will shell out the money for him and his brothers memberships plus pay for the trip and hunt just to miss school lol....my guess is that is the reason he wants to go....i dont think he even hunted youth hunts as a kid..and i know he hasnt hunted in any nite hunts or took the dog hunting....kinda sad...the dog lives at his house..he can drive and has good huntin close by...

i hunted that dog more than anyone else LOL...

Ya might wanna check to see if its still valid if the dog was qualified before last yrs Lee Crawford if its still valid for 2013...

Thanx....the sectional was after...it had to have been late April or May because.my buddy took her..not me...i left for work out of state in the beginning of may...

If the dog won a Walker Sectional late April of 2012 or May of 2012, it is qualified. But on January 1st of 2013, all memberships are due for 2013 and they owner and handlers must be paid up members to hunt in the Lee Crawford. They can join at Walker Days if they want to. Hope to see you there.

I also have a question about lee crawford....we qualified a dog for the show, do you get something in the mail to confirm your eligibility for this event?

you should have gotten your qualify slip at the sectional when you won. But if you did not, give me a call and we will look it up in our records and you will be good to go in April at the Lee Crawford Show.

Thanx Alan! Appreciate it! My buddy will he there for the pup hunt for sure....i. am hoping i can make it for the pup hunt as well....our dues are paid up..just got our cards last week...
